Here's the 411
Jimmy Mcfadden and Stephen Murphy combine the magic ingredients of talent, passion, drive (get it? like Incubus), and experience to create the unique sound of Live Dudes Acoustic Duo. Live Dudes covers music from the 60’s to current day with a wide variety of genres, including pop, classic rock, grunge, r&b, and many more. Between Jim and Stephen, the duo has 15+ years of experience playing wine bars, breweries, restaurants, cocktail hours, weddings, corporate functions, and many private events. But thats just how its going, here is how it began...
Our story starts off with two dudes, Kiwi and Jimmy, fishing on a peaceful lake in the wee hours of the morning. Jimmy had brought a chili dog to eat, and Kiwi brought a ham and cheese sammy. The lines were not biting so they had lost all hope. Suddenly, from the bottom of the lake came a huge burst of water probably 100 feet in the air. To their surprise, it was just a not-so-cool wizard. Kiwi asked the wizard, “why have you come to this lake in the wee hours of the morning?” The wizard replied, “I shall be asking you the same question. I'm actually here to send you two on a musical quest, if you don't complete it, the world will end.” Jimmy’s jaw dropped in absolute horror, but on the other hand, Kiwi got very excited and jumped for joy. Ever since he was 7, he was dreaming for this exact moment. The wizard closed his eyes, spun around three times, and held his finger out. When he was done, he finger had landed on Jimmy’s chili dawg. The wizard said, “I will tell you how to beat this quest IF you give me that chili dawg.” Jimmy looked like he was about to fight the wizard because he really likes oranges, but Kiwi held him back. “You can just have my sammy,” said Kiwi. The wizard agreed (after some negotiation). Once they were told their quest which took a few hours to explain, they were off! They fought dragons, donated to a fairy hospital, all while playing sweet tunes. The last part of the quest was to play for all of you!
